The three major A-share indexes opened with mixed performance; the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.07%, while the ChiNext Index rose 0.55%. Lithium battery electrolyte, cross-strait integration, superhard materials, servers, and aquaculture concept stocks weakened; CPO concept stocks strengthened. Moore Threads was listed on the STAR Market, surging more than 468% at market open with a share price of 650 yuan.
In the news, Goldman Sachs raised the target price of Innolight by more than 11%, optimistic about AI server demand driving accelerated shipments of optical modules.
Hong Kong stocks opened lower, with the Hang Seng Index down 0.4% and the Hang Seng Tech Index intraday decline widening to 1%. Most large tech stocks fell, most non-ferrous metal stocks continued to be sluggish, Aluminum Corporation of China fell 1.35%, marine shipping stocks, catering stocks, and some insurance stocks dropped. However, most biotech, nuclear power, and airline stocks rose. Additionally, new listing “Yujian Xiaomian” broke on its first day, opening down nearly 29%; Tianyu Semiconductor fell more than 34% on its first day of listing.
In the news, US rate cut expectations cooled slightly. Overnight, the three major US stock indexes showed mixed performance; the China concept stock index rose 0.39%.
Most domestic commodity futures opened higher; container shipping index (Europe line) rose 3.76%, coke rose 1.50%, fuel oil rose 1.48%, Shanghai zinc rose 0.66%, industrial silicon rose 0.39%, Shanghai silver fell 2.18%.
Government bond futures opened with mixed performance; the main 30-year contract rose 0.15%, 10-year main contract rose 0.07%, 5-year main contract flat, 2-year main contract flat.
