BOE’s performance continues to recover in the first half of the year.

On July 8, BOE A released its 2026 interim earnings forecast, expecting net profit attributable to the parent company to be between 5 billion and 5.5 billion yuan in the first half, an increase of 54% to 69% year-on-year.

This part is mainly affected by the increased gains from changes in the fair value of trading financial assets.

If this factor is excluded,BOE expects its net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses in the first half of 2026 to be 3.08 billion to 3.31 billion yuan, up 35% to 45% year-on-year.

The LCD business remains an important support for BOE’s performance improvement.

In the first half of 2026, driven by the accelerating trend of large screen sizes, the exit of outdated overseas production lines, and the industry’s adherence to “production based on demand”, the supply and demand for TV products tended to balance, leading to year-on-year growth in BOE’s LCD business performance.

At the same time, flexibleAMOLED business is also continuing to advance. In the first half of the year, BOE shipped more than 80 million pieces of AMOLED products, maintaining year-on-year growth.

With the mass production of the8.6th generation AMOLED production line, BOE will further drive the upgrade of mid-size high-end OLED products, enhancing the competitiveness of its flexible AMOLED business.

Beyond performance recovery, BOE is also showcasing new growth curves to the capital market.

On July 2, at the 2026 BOE Investor Day themed event in Shanghai, BOE showcased its strategic layout for extending from its main display business to high value-added new tracks—the three innovative businesses of glass substrate packaging carrier boards, perovskite, and optical interconnect made their debut together in the capital market.

Specifically, the glass substrate packaging carrier board business has achieved breakthroughs incore processes such as TGV drilling, deep hole copper filling, and multi-layer wiring. The trial production line with a designed monthly capacity of 1000 pieces achieved full automation in the first half of 2026, yielding samples of large-size, high-layer glass substrate packaging carrier boards.

In the perovskite direction, BOE is developing in parallel along rigid, flexible, and stacked component technology routes, having completed alignment of the entire process from small-sized glovebox platforms to pilot line platforms.

In optical interconnect, BOE is leveragingits Micro LED and glass substrate capabilities for forward-looking technology deployment. Its subsidiary HC SemiLEDs has completed the mass production line for 6-inch Micro LED chips, with Micro LED communication application chips having produced samples and delivered them for customer verification in the second half of 2025.

Withthe LCD industry’s supply-demand structure improving and OLED expanding into high-end and mid-size markets, BOE’s profitability is recovering. The ongoing expansion of innovative businesses such as glass substrate packaging carrier boards, perovskite, and optical interconnect also brings more growth potential for its performance.
