In terms of news, according to a WallstreetCN previous article, Musk stated at the Davos Forum that a solar panel area of 100 square miles could supply power to all of America. He revealed that teams at SpaceX and Tesla are each working to build 100GW per year solar manufacturing capacity in the US within about three years.

Musk emphasized that photovoltaics are the optimal energy solution. SpaceX will launch solar AI satellites in the future, and SpaceX and Tesla will build 100GW PV production capacity in the US; in the future, space photovoltaic bases should be constructed to deploy data centers.

According to Shenwan Hongyuan’s research report, China’s application to launch over 200,000 satellite constellation marks a new stage of large-scale commercial space deployment, which will directly drive long-term demand for space photovoltaics. Space PV faces technological iteration from high-efficiency gallium arsenide to large-scale silicon-based HJT, and eventually to perovskite tandem technologies.
