AI systems collectively crashed! ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok all experienced service outages.

According to user reports on Downdetector and status pages of various companies, several AI companies are experiencing service outages.

OpenAI stated that its ChatGPT and Codex are currently experiencing issues. Anthropic stated that it is investigating a bug in Claude and is working to fix it. SpaceXAI stated that Grok is currently experiencing a malfunction and is investigating the service outage.

According to Downdetector, there have been over 12,000 user reports indicating issues with OpenAI. Approximately 1,200 reports concern Claude, and about 1,000 reports concern Grok.

While outages in AI services are not uncommon, it is unusual for three major platforms to experience simultaneous failures. Furthermore, due to outages at Grok and Claude, the AI programming tool Cursor has also been confirmed to be experiencing problems.

Currently, Google's Gemini appears to be unaffected. Although the number of user reports has increased during the same period, Google has not confirmed any service disruption.

The underlying cause may be related to Microsoft Azure, which has also experienced a surge in outage reports. All three AI platforms rely on Azure for cloud computing services, but their computing architecture also includes other service providers such as Google.
