BAIC Geefo targets the 150,000 RMB market segment again.

BAIC Jihu fills the gap in its production line for large five-seater SUVs.

On September 16th, BAIC Jihu launched the Alfa T7, offering nine models with official guide prices ranging from 136,800 to 172,800 yuan, and launch subsidy prices ranging from 132,800 to 168,800 yuan. The new car offers both pure electric and range-extended powertrains, and some versions are equipped with the Huawei Gankun ADS 5 Pro driver assistance system.

The Alfa T7 is entering the market where the sales of new energy vehicles are currently most concentrated.

In 2025, sales of new energy vehicles priced between 100,000 and 200,000 yuan in China reached 6.941 million units, a year-on-year increase of 24%; among them, sales of vehicles priced between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan reached 3.549 million units, a year-on-year increase of 59.5%. This price range covers the needs of first-time buyers and families purchasing additional vehicles, has a large market capacity, and also attracts the most concentrated product launches from automakers.

In the past, competition among new energy SUVs in the 150,000 yuan price range mainly revolved around price, range, and operating costs. However, with the decreasing costs of batteries, intelligent driving hardware, and electronic and electrical architectures, larger vehicle sizes, 800V platforms, and urban navigation-assisted driving features have begun to enter this market. Models such as the Leapmotor C11, DeepBlue S07, and BYD Song Ultra have been continuously updated, and product competition has shifted from single-parameter metrics to a comprehensive contest encompassing space, charging capabilities, intelligent features, and channel services.

The Alfa T7 continues BAIC Geefo's product strategy of expanding into the mainstream family car market. Previously, BAIC Geefo had already covered the small car, mid-size SUV, and sedan markets with models such as the T1, T5, and S5. The T7 adds a large five-seater SUV and expands its user base with both pure electric and range-extended powertrains.

In terms of specifications, the Alfa Romeo T7 is 5020 mm long and has a wheelbase of 3040 mm. The extended-range CLTC version has a pure electric range of 320 km and a combined range of 1315 km; the pure electric version offers two range options: 650 km and 715 km, and uses an 800V high-voltage platform. Four of the nine models are "Gankun" versions, featuring the Huawei Gankun ADS 5 Pro, which provides functions such as city navigation, highway navigation, and parking assistance.

BAIC Jifox's sales base has been expanding in recent years. In 2025, the brand's sales reached 161,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 98.68%. From January to July this year, cumulative deliveries reached 104,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 80.25%; July deliveries reached 23,500 units, a year-on-year increase of 150.45%. With the increase in the number of products, BAIC Jifox's growth focus is shifting from increasing sales of a single model to a multi-model approach.

Looking at the parent company's operations, BAIC BluePark sold 98,900 vehicles in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 47.27%; operating revenue reached 11.597 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.86%. Net loss attributable to the parent company narrowed from 2.308 billion yuan in the same period last year to 1.938 billion yuan. Sales growth and product structure adjustments are driving the narrowing of losses, and the Alfa T7, now entering the mainstream price range, will further shoulder the task of expanding scale.

BAIC Jihu claims that the Alfa T7 received over 60,000 orders in 21 days of pre-sales. To support the new product launch, the company has expanded its nationwide dealership network to over 700 and plans to increase its after-sales service network to over 1,000 by the end of the year. For mainstream models targeting family users, increased dealership density and after-sales coverage help improve the efficiency of test drives, deliveries, and maintenance.

The launch of the Alfa T7 further increases the product density of new energy SUVs in the 150,000 yuan price range. This car completes the mainstream large SUV product line and brings Huawei's driver assistance system, dual powertrains, and long range into the brand's volume-selling segment.
