British media: At least 26 Iran-related ships break through US military blockade
```
According to a report by British shipping media Lloyd's List on the 20th, at least 26 ships related to Iranian shipping have broken through the U.S. military blockade.
The report said that since the U.S. military imposed a blockade on ships entering and leaving Iranian ports on the 13th, among the ships that breached the blockade were 11 oil tankers loaded with Iranian goods. Since the U.S. military expanded the scope of its blockade against Iranian shipping materials last week, more than 10 ships have successfully crossed the blockade area. In addition, a bulk carrier owned by a Greek shipowner left an Iranian port on the 15th and passed through the blockade line on the 19th.
On the 17th, Iran announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz to merchant ships, and later on the 18th announced that, as the U.S. had not lifted its maritime blockade against Iran, Iran would resume control of passage through the Strait of Hormuz. On the 19th, U.S. forces forcibly intercepted and seized an Iranian cargo ship in the waters of the Gulf of Oman. Iranian military accused the U.S. side of openly violating the ceasefire agreement.
Lloyd's List had previously cited analysts saying that the announcement and implementation of the U.S. blockade policy revealed that it was not a well-thought-out strategy, "its essence is something cobbled together temporarily as events unfold."
