To further improve Yuanbao's ability to handle tasks, Tencent has now opened up the door to WeChat mini programs for it.

Wallstreetcn has learned that recently, when Yuanbao answers questions related to social security, housing fund, household registration, transportation, and so on, it will simultaneously pop up quick links to the corresponding WeChat mini programs in its answers, allowing users to jump directly to the relevant service pages with a click.

However, to enable Yuanbao to pull out the mini program links, users must not only upgrade Yuanbao to the latest version but also switch its mode to fast thinking mode.

For example, when Wallstreetcn inputs "Help me check my individual medical insurance account balance," Yuanbao provides detailed instructions for inquiry and also posts the entrance to the relevant city's medical insurance mini program in its answer; when asked "How can I urgently take a flight if my ID card has expired?" Yuanbao directly posts the entrance to the temporary flight proof mini program in its response.

According to Tencent, the WeChat mini programs currently connected by Yuanbao cover multiple government and livelihood areas, including social security, medical insurance, housing fund, vehicle and driver services, taxation, household registration, entry and exit, housing, education, civil affairs, and more.

In the fierce competition of native AI applications, Yuanbao's greatest differentiating competitive advantage is Tencent's rich ecosystem. It can be seen that Yuanbao is continually opening up Tencent's internal ecosystem resources.

Previously, Yuanbao had already successively connected with content sources such as WeChat, Tencent News, Tencent Sports, Tongcheng Travel, and ima Knowledge Base, gradually making Tencent's internal content assets accessible for AI invocation.

At Meituan's earnings conference in early June, CEO Wang Xing mentioned that the partnership between Meituan's AI assistant "Xiaomei" and Tencent's Yuanbao will go online soon. At that time, users can directly input their requests in Yuanbao, invoke local life services such as food delivery through Xiaomei, and complete one-stop transactions.
