From January to September 2025, national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) reached 37.1535 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%. Among them, private fixed asset investment fell by 3.1% year-on-year. Month-on-month, in September, fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) decreased by 0.07%.

By sector, investment in the primary industry was 734.4 billion yuan, up 4.6% year-on-year; investment in the secondary industry was 13.4063 trillion yuan, up 6.3%; investment in the tertiary industry was 23.0128 trillion yuan, down 4.3%.

In the secondary industry, industrial investment grew by 6.4% year-on-year. Of this, investment in mining rose by 3.7%, investment in manufacturing rose by 4.0%, and investment in the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water increased by 15.3%.

In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water) grew by 1.1% year-on-year. Among them, investment in water transportation increased by 12.8%, railway transportation by 4.2%, and water conservancy management by 3.0%.

By region, investment in the eastern region decreased by 4.5% year-on-year, investment in the central region rose by 1.5%, investment in the western region rose by 1.5%, and investment in the northeastern region decreased by 8.4%.

By registration type, fixed asset investment by domestic enterprises fell by 0.6% year-on-year, investment by Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan enterprises fell by 0.3%, and investment by foreign-owned enterprises dropped by 12.6%.
