Industrial output above designated size in China increased by 6.3% year-on-year from January to February.
From January to February, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size grew by 6.3% year-on-year in real terms (the growth rate of value-added is the real growth rate excluding price factors). Month-on-month, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.83% in February compared to the previous month.

By three major categories, from January to February, the value-added of the mining industry increased by 6.1% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry grew by 6.6%, and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry increased by 4.7%.
By economic type, from January to February, the value-added of state-controlled enterprises increased by 4.2% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises grew by 6.9%, foreign-invested and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprises grew by 4.0%; private enterprises grew by 7.4%.
By industry, from January to February, 35 out of 41 major industry categories saw a year-on-year increase in value-added. Among them: coal mining and washing industry grew by 7.2%, oil and natural gas extraction industry grew by 5.8%, agricultural and sideline food processing increased by 6.1%, liquor, beverage, and refined tea manufacturing increased by 4.3%, textile industry grew by 5.3%, chemical raw materials and products manufacturing grew by 7.6%, non-metallic mineral products industry grew by 2.5%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing grew by 2.2%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing grew by 3.9%, general equipment manufacturing grew by 8.9%, specialized equipment manufacturing grew by 8.8%, automobile manufacturing grew by 3.4%, railway, ship, aerospace, and other transportation equipment manufacturing grew by 13.7%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing grew by 8.7%, computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing grew by 14.2%, and electricity and heat production and supply grew by 5.1%.
By product, from January to February, among 626 kinds of products produced by industrial enterprises above designated size, the output of 397 kinds increased year-on-year. Among them: steel 221.19 million tons, down 1.1% year-on-year; cement 178.27 million tons, up 6.8%; ten non-ferrous metals 13.42 million tons, up 3.9%; ethylene 6.60 million tons, up 5.1%; automobiles 4.024 million units, down 9.9%, including new energy vehicles 1.604 million units, down 13.7%; electricity generation 1,571.8 billion kWh, up 4.1%; crude oil processing volume 122.63 million tons, up 2.9%.
From January to February, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 95.4%, down 0.1 percentage points year-on-year; industrial enterprises above designated size achieved export delivery value of 2,405 billion yuan, a nominal year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
