Meta Small Business Edition Muse is here!
Meta is expanding its personal AI agent, Muse, from consumer scenarios to small business operations, attempting to embed the AI agent into more practical workflows and explore new commercialization opportunities by integrating it with business tools used daily by enterprises.
On Tuesday, Meta announced a new suite of skills and connectors for Muse, officially expanding its reach to small businesses and helping business owners manage their daily operations. The new version directly integrates with Instagram Pro account analytics, Facebook Pages, and Meta Ads accounts, and supports integration with dozens of third-party business tools such as Canva. Earlier this month, Meta launched Muse, an AI-powered agent for individual users, in the US and Canada.
This expansion is also directly related to Meta's advertising business. By integrating AI agents into the daily operations and marketing processes of small businesses, Meta can further penetrate the business scenarios of SME users, while providing more room for Muse's future subscription monetization.
Functional positioning: Solving the time bottleneck for small business owners
Meta's product design targets the time constraints commonly faced by small business owners.
Tom Mulholland, a grocery store owner from Iowa, said he works about 65 hours a week and has to do many things himself. Therefore, he wants to dedicate more time to tasks that truly generate business value, such as cutting steaks and making sausages, and Muse can take over some of those tasks.
The core of Muse for Small Business lies in understanding the business context of a company. Meta explains that after completing the relevant account and tool connections, Muse can identify the company's sales categories, brand tone, and common customer questions, and execute tasks accordingly, thus maintaining consistency between the output and the company's brand, rather than just being a general-purpose AI assistant.
Ecosystem integration: Integrating with existing toolchains
Muse for Small Business does not require users to change their existing work methods, but rather connects directly to tools that the enterprise is already using through connectors.
Cameron Adams, co-founder and chief product officer of Canva, said that once Muse is connected to Canva, users can directly access Canva's templates and tools to complete everything from starting a side hustle to creating presentations within their existing workflows, turning early ideas into editable and shareable content that aligns with their brand identity.
In addition to officially supported connectors, Muse also supports custom connectors, allowing users to connect to third-party services that are not yet included in the official list.
Business model: Primarily free, supplemented by subscriptions.
In terms of commercialization, Meta continues the AI product model of "free coverage of basic needs and subscription to meet advanced needs".
Meta states that the free version of Muse meets the core needs of most users, aligning with the company's vision of "making super intelligence accessible to as many people as possible." For users with more demanding needs, Meta offers a paid subscription plan, but specific pricing has not yet been disclosed.
Meta also stated that it will continue to add connectors and skills in the coming months and drive Muse to handle more business processes, enabling broader automation.
