National Energy Administration: Photovoltaic power generation installed capacity increased by 43.8% year-on-year from January to October, continuing the recovery trend.
On November 24, the latest data released by the National Energy Administration showed that as of the end of October, the total national installed power generation capacity was 3.75 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%. Among this, solar power generation installed capacity was 1.14 billion kilowatts, up 43.8% year-on-year; wind power installed capacity was 590 million kilowatts, up 21.4% year-on-year.

The data also shows that in October, newly added photovoltaic installed capacity nationwide was 12.6GW, a month-on-month increase of 30.4% compared to 9.66GW in September. This growth marks a continuation of the recovery trend in photovoltaic installations since September, as the industry is rebounding from the nearly three-year low seen in August this year.
The fourth quarter is usually the peak construction season for China's photovoltaic industry, with installed capacity often being intensively released at the end of the year. However, this seasonal pattern has been broken by policy adjustments this year, with demand brought forward causing installation volume in August to drop to a nearly three-year low. The consecutive growth in September and October shows that the industry is gradually returning to its normal pace.
Data from the National Energy Administration also shows that in October, newly added wind power installed capacity was 8.9GW, and newly added thermal power installed capacity was 8.4GW. The simultaneous progress in installing photovoltaic, wind, and thermal power generation reflects that China is advancing its power system construction through multiple pathways to meet the ever-increasing electricity demand and optimize its energy structure.
