Netanyahu reportedly preparing to act against Iran alone

According to Reference News quoting German News Agency on June 9, Israel's i24 News reported on June 9 that under certain conditions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be prepared to deal with situations without U.S. support.

The report stated that the TV channel referred to a cabinet meeting held on the evening of the 8th and quoted Netanyahu as saying: “We may enter such a situation, where we have to confront Iran alone, without the support of the U.S., and bear all the associated costs by ourselves—including weapons and equipment and global isolation.”

The report quoted Netanyahu as saying that Israel does not want to reach this point, but knows that such a situation may occur.

Israeli expert on Iran issues Danny Zitronovich warned on the social platform X that a major military operation without U.S. support would be a huge strategic gamble for Israel’s national security, and therefore can only be considered if there are no other alternatives.

In addition, according to the latest news from CCTV, on the 10th local time, the Israeli military issued an emergency evacuation warning to residents of two villages in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli military stated that, given Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement, it will take strong action against it. The warning required local residents to evacuate immediately to an open area at least one kilometer away from the affected villages.

In addition, the Israeli Defense Forces stated that during the past day, the Israeli military continued to target Hezbollah-related infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including a site used to launch drones, rocket launchers, and armed personnel.
