Next week's major events: US Non-Farm Payrolls, China PMI, Waller to attend ECB Forum, semiconductor "July price hike wave"
June 28 - July 6 Weekly Major Financial Events Overview, all times Beijing:

Key points for next week:
On the macro policy front, the U.S. June nonfarm payroll report will be released on July 2. If the data exceeds expectations, it may strengthen Fed rate hike expectations, especially against the backdrop of Chairman Waller and the June FOMC minutes releasing hawkish signals. In China, the June official manufacturing PMI will be published on June 30, with the market looking for a slight rebound above the 50 boom/bust line. In addition, the ECB Annual Central Banking Forum will be held in Portugal from June 29 to July 1, featuring key figures like Fed Chair Waller, ECB President Lagarde, and BOE Governor Bailey giving speeches. The market will closely watch whether Waller maintains a hawkish stance — this will be the most important policy indicator before the July nonfarm data.
In the industrial chain, the AI-driven global price surge and Samsung's “4 trillion yuan” investment plan are under close watch. Entering July, over a dozen semiconductor giants—including Murata, Infineon, Texas Instruments, Yangjie Tech—are collectively raising prices, with hikes up to 40%, almost covering all Taiwanese IC design firms and putting pressure across the chain from upstream materials to terminal chips. Samsung Group plans to unveil a ten-year domestic investment plan totaling 1000 trillion won (about 4 trillion RMB) on June 29, the largest in Korean business history, with chip manufacturing as the core direction.
Other events include Nike’s earnings report, the Davos Tech Summit (focusing on physical AI and robotics), and the Shanghai Embodied Intelligence Expo, which will simultaneously serve as catalysts for technology and robotics sectors. Additionally, U.S. President Trump has announced the “biggest Trump rally ever” on July 4 (Independence Day) in Washington, where he will deliver a keynote speech. The U.S.-Iran situation is also worth attention.
Economic indicators

The ADP employment report will also be released July 1.
- China June Official Manufacturing PMI
China's June official manufacturing PMI will be announced on Tuesday, June 30. May’s PMI was 50.0, down 0.3 points from April. The market expects a slight rise in June. On July 1, the RatingDog manufacturing PMI (more focused on export companies) will also be published.
- Korea June Export Data & Japan Q2 Tankan Business Sentiment Survey
Korea's June export data will be published July 1. Bloomberg Economics expects 62.5% year-on-year growth, higher than May’s 53.4% and market forecast of 60.7%, mainly driven by AI chip demand—chip exports surged 188.4% for the first 20 days of June.
Additionally, BOJ’s Q2 Tankan business sentiment survey will be released July 1. Market expects the large manufacturers index to remain at 17, above forecasts (16), mainly supported by auto and AI-related demand. Strong data will boost BOJ’s rationale for exiting stimulus.
