According to CCTV News, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr stated in an interview in Washington on February 27 that Iran has agreed not to possess "nuclear material capable of making nuclear bombs."

Previously, according to CCTV, on the 27th local time, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr met with U.S. Vice President Vance in Washington.

According to the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides reviewed the progress achieved in the U.S.–Iran indirect negotiations held under Oman's mediation, as well as the diplomatic efforts surrounding the establishment of a fair and sustainable nuclear agreement and ensuring the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.

Badr stated that the negotiations so far have achieved "critical, important, and unprecedented progress," which may lay the foundation for reaching the expected agreement.

On the same day, Badr also stated on social media that he looks forward to further, decisive progress in the U.S.-Iran negotiations in the coming days. He also pointed out:

Peace is within reach.

However, WallstreetCN notes that the optimistic signals in diplomacy are difficult to mask the rapidly rising military risks.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the U.S. military's largest aircraft carrier "Ford" arrived in Israeli waters on Friday the 27th, forming a "dual-carrier strike group" together with the "Lincoln" carrier already deployed in the Persian Gulf; around 20 U.S. military refueling aircraft also arrived at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport on the same day.

Also on Friday, the U.S. Embassy in Israel announced that “due to security risks,” the U.S. State Department has approved the evacuation of non-emergency staff and their families from the embassy in Israel. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Herkabi urged personnel wanting to leave Israel to “leave today.”

Other countries, including China, have either called for their citizens to evacuate or recalled their diplomats from Iran, while international airlines announced the suspension of relevant flights.
