OPPO adds an "E" to the Find X for the first time, maintaining its flagship status at 4999 yuan.

Following vivo, OPPO has joined the battle of domestic flagship phones in September.

On September 22, OPPO officially launched the Find X10 series, bringing three models: Find X10 E, Find X10, and Find X10 Pro Max, with starting prices of 4,999 yuan, 5,499 yuan, and 6,799 yuan respectively. They will officially go on sale on September 24.

This marks the first time OPPO has included an E version in the initial lineup of the Find X series.

From a product positioning perspective, the E version is designed to cater to users in the Find X series who are more price-sensitive.

With rising costs in storage and chips, the starting price of the Find X10 standard edition this year has reached 5499 yuan, an increase of 1100 yuan compared to the previous generation Find X9 standard edition. However, OPPO did not let the starting price of the entire Find X series directly exceed 5000 yuan, but instead chose to add the Find X10 E, retaining the position of an entry-level flagship at 4999 yuan.

The 500 yuan price difference also reflects the trade-offs in configuration.

The Find X10 E is powered by the Dimensity 9500s processor and features a 7025mAh battery. Its rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The standard version, however, upgrades to the Dimensity 9600M processor, increases the battery capacity to 8000mAh, and features a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200MP telephoto lens, while also supporting 8K video recording.

In terms of storage configuration, the E version with 16GB+512GB and the standard version with 12GB+256GB are both priced at 5499 yuan, giving users the option of "larger storage or higher configuration".

If compared with the vivo X500 series released a day earlier, both companies have the same starting price of 5499 yuan for the standard version. The core difference between the product lines is that OPPO provides users with a more competitive option by adding the E version to its flagship phones.

With vivo and OPPO releasing new products one after another, the competition among domestic flagship phones intensified further in September. Higher imaging specifications, larger batteries, and next-generation flagship chips remain the common directions of this round of upgrades. However, how to balance configuration, price, and user coverage under cost pressure has become another area of competition.

In addition to smartphones, OPPO also updated a batch of accessory products, including the Watch S2 at a discounted price of 1499 yuan for the first sale, the Enco X4 earphones at 1099 yuan, and accessories such as a magnetic power bank. The AI Heart Ball, which was previously unveiled at the developer conference, also officially launched its pioneer program at this event, with an introductory price of 499 yuan.

This has become an important area of focus for mobile phone manufacturers beyond mobile phones. Previously, at the launch event for the X500 series, vivo also launched its first clip-on earphones and a selfie screen, among other new products.

As products such as headphones and watches become more integrated with mobile phones in terms of health data, audio, and AI services, it will also help increase user stickiness within the same brand ecosystem.
