Senator Warren questions Walsh about mentions in the Epstein files, demanding a response.
```
U.S. Senate Democrat Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to Trump's Federal Reserve chairman nominee Kevin Warsh: "Your name appears to be listed in the Epstein files." Warren asked Warsh to respond to and explain the Epstein files by March 31.
Warren highlighted two email exchanges, suggesting that Warsh may have been invited to attend events apparently organized by Epstein. In her letter, Warren cited news reports that one event was held in December 2010 on the Caribbean island of St. Barts, and another in September 2010 in New York.
These documents do not indicate whether Warsh actually attended any of the aforementioned events, nor has he been accused of any wrongdoing.
In Thursday’s letter, Warren urged Warsh to clarify whether he traveled to St. Barts during the events, and requested disclosure as to whether he attended any of the listed events, or if he had any contact with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Additionally, Warren asked Warsh whether Trump or members of the Trump family also attended the New York event. According to the news reports she cited, the guest list for this event included Trump and his wife Melania, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as well as Donald Trump Jr. and his then-wife Vanessa.
Warren is a member of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is responsible for reviewing Federal Reserve nominees. The committee has not yet scheduled a confirmation hearing for Warsh. She asked Warsh to respond by March 31.
