September EV report card: Leapmotor’s deliveries surpassed 60,000 for the first time, while XPeng and Xiaomi both broke the 40,000 mark; Li Auto and NIO set new delivery records.
China's new energy vehicle makers delivered a strong performance in September, with several automakers posting record-high delivery volumes.
On October 1st, latest data showed that Leapmotor's September deliveries surpassed 60,000 units for the first time, with a year-on-year growth rate exceeding 97%. At the same time, Zeekr crossed the 50,000 monthly deliveries mark, while both Xpeng and Xiaomi broke the 40,000 barrier, setting new all-time highs. NIO delivered 34,749 new vehicles, once again hitting a record high.
Li Auto and Voyah also maintained steady growth momentum. Li Auto delivered over 30,000 vehicles in September, and launched the Li Auto i6, with Yi Yangqianxi signing on as spokesperson. Voyah's delivery volume jumped 52% year-on-year, setting a new record high.
This series of record-breaking figures marks the significant achievements made by China's new energy vehicle industry during the "Golden September" sales peak.
Xpeng & Xiaomi: Both Break 40,000, Setting New Records
Xpeng Motors and Xiaomi Motors both passed the monthly delivery threshold of 40,000 units in September.
In September 2025, Xpeng Motors delivered 41,581 new vehicles, up 95% year-on-year and 10% month-on-month. Monthly deliveries exceeded 40,000 for the first time, setting a new historical record. From January to September 2025, cumulative deliveries reached 313,196 units, a year-on-year increase of 218%.
Specifically, the Xpeng MONA M03 delivered over 10,000 units, with cumulative deliveries since launch exceeding 180,000, and has delivered over 10,000 units monthly for 13 consecutive months.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Motors also delivered over 40,000 units in September, becoming an emerging force that cannot be ignored in the market.

Li Auto: Over 30,000 Deliveries in September, Li Auto i6 Released, Yi Yangqianxi Signed
According to Li Auto's announced data, it delivered 33,951 vehicles in September 2025, with 93,211 delivered in the third quarter. According to Chairman and CEO Li Xiang, Li Auto has maintained a leading edge in the SUV segment priced above 200,000 RMB, and its cumulative sales this year have already surpassed Tesla to rank first in this sub-market.

In September, Li Auto officially launched and began deliveries of its new five-seat SUV, the Li Auto i6, and announced Yi Yangqianxi as its first brand ambassador. Li Xiang said that as the brand enters a new stage, the company is upgrading its core concept around "home" in hopes of creating an exceptional spatial experience for its increasingly diverse user base. As of September 30, Li Auto had 542 retail centers nationwide and 3,420 Li Auto supercharging stations in operation.
NIO: 34,749 Vehicles Delivered in September, Up 64%, Sets New Record
In September 2025, NIO delivered 34,749 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 64%. Of these, the NIO brand delivered 13,728 units; the ONVO brand delivered 15,246 units; and the firefly brand delivered 5,775 units.
To date, NIO has delivered a cumulative total of 872,785 vehicles: 762,176 under the NIO brand; 90,279 under ONVO; and 20,330 under firefly.

Leapmotor: Deliveries Exceed 60,000, New Platform Ready to Launch
Leapmotor’s performance in September was especially outstanding, with total deliveries reaching 66,657 units, up over 97% year-on-year, and monthly sales surpassing 60,000 units for the first time. On September 25, Leapmotor reached a historic milestone with its one-millionth vehicle rolling off the production line.
At the product level, Leapmotor's lineup continued to receive market recognition, with the Leapmotor C10 topping the new forces mid-size SUV ranking for four consecutive months.
Looking ahead, Leapmotor plans to debut its flagship technology platform and first flagship model D19 globally in October, aiming to set a new benchmark for luxury flagships.

Zeekr & Voyah: Steady Growth and Premium Positioning
Zeekr Technology and Voyah Auto also achieved steady growth in September.
According to Zeekr Technology, the company sold 51,159 units in September, achieving 8.5% year-on-year and 14.1% month-on-month growth, with monthly sales exceeding 40,000 for seven consecutive months. Of these, Zeekr sold 18,257 units and Lynk & Co sold 32,902.

Voyah announced its latest data: 15,224 vehicles delivered in September, an impressive 52% jump year-on-year, a new historic high. From January to September, 96,992 units were delivered, up 85% year-on-year, with monthly sales exceeding 10,000 for seven consecutive months, achieving eight straight months of growth, and continuing its drive to become the leading premium new energy brand among central state-owned enterprises.

In September, Voyah accelerated its star product lineup. The 2026 Voyah Dreamer received over 10,000 orders just 18 hours after launch, while Voyah Taishan and Voyah Zhuiguang began pre-orders on the 26th. All three vehicles feature 800V, 5C ultra-fast charging, Huawei Qiankun ADS 4, and HarmonyOS Cockpit 5, signifying Voyah’s leading position in three major mainstream markets: electric luxury SUVs, MPVs, and sedans.
Accelerating Globalization, European Local Production in Focus
While consolidating their presence in the domestic market, many Chinese automakers are also accelerating their global expansion. According to Auto Youfan under Wallstreetcn, Zeekr Technology has now entered over 60 major international markets, with the Zeekr 7X launched in the UAE, while the Lynk & Co brand officially entered the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, and now serves 25 markets in Europe.
Xpeng also regards Europe as a strategic priority. In September, Xpeng announced the opening of its first European R&D center at the Munich International Auto Show, and launched deep cooperation with the Magna factory in Graz, Austria, to promote local EV production in Europe. According to the plan, the first locally produced Xpeng G6 and G9 models successfully rolled off the line in Q3.
