Tencent Hy3 preview tops OpenRouter's API usage ranking

On April 29, Wall Street Insights discovered that Tencent's Hunyuan new model Hy3 preview ranked first in the global daily large model API call ranking on OpenRouter.

Looking at the weekly rankings, Hy3 preview currently ranks sixth, with the top spot taken by Moonshot's Kimi K2.6.

It is reported that OpenRouter is the world's largest large-model API distribution marketplace, connecting over 300 models.

Hy3 preview was officially released and open-sourced on April 23. It is not only the first large model of Hunyuan after a full-chain rebuild but also the first achievement since Yao Shunyu, Tencent's Chief AI Scientist and head of the AI Infra and Large Language Model departments, joined Tencent.

Hy3 preview has attracted much attention in the market, focusing on enhancing capabilities in coding and intelligent agents, instruction following, and contextual understanding. It is the most intelligent model Hunyuan has produced so far.

In addition to connecting to third-party platforms like OpenRouter, Hy3 preview has also launched in many Tencent internal products such as Yuanbao, ima, WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, and supports integration with mainstream open-source intelligent agent platforms like OpenClaw, OpenCode, KiloCode, etc.

Moreover, Hy3 preview is also available on Tencent Cloud’s large model service platform TokenHub, offering the Hy3 preview Token Plan package, with a personal edition priced as low as 28 RMB per month.

Yao Shunyu previously stated that Hy3 preview is the first step in rebuilding the Hunyuan large model. Tencent hopes that this open source and release will generate real feedback from the open-source community and users to help improve the practical usability of the official version of Hy3.
