On July 15, A-shares fluctuated and rose in the morning session. Biopharmaceuticals exploded, with innovative drugs and CRO sectors surging. The liquor sector was active, while energy equipment and non-ferrous metals retreated. Semiconductor, advanced packaging, GPU and other concept stocks fell into adjustments, dragging the STAR 50 down by more than 2%.

Hong Kong stocks also fluctuated higher. Both the Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng Tech Index rose. Most technology internet stocks rebounded. AI large model stocks counterattacked, Zhipu rose nearly 10%, MINIMAX surged 14%. The biotech sector soared over 4%.

In the bond market, most treasury futures rose. In the commodities market, most domestic commodity futures rose. Core market movements:

Commodities: Domestic commodity futures mostly rose. As of press time, fuel oil rose nearly 5%, palladium and crude oil rose over 3%, asphalt and platinum rose 2%, Shanghai silver, Shanghai tin, rebar, pulp, and hot-rolled coil rose 1%. Iron ore, stainless steel, alumina, coking coal, Shanghai copper, coke, soybean meal, Shanghai gold, manganese silicon, rubber, lithium carbonate, rapeseed and other varieties all rose. On the news side, Yangtze Optical Fibre announced it expects net profit attributable to parent company in the first half of 2026 to be 2.4-3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 711% to 914%. Benefiting from the accelerated construction of computing power data centers, domestic and international demand for new optical fiber and cable products continues to grow, and the industry’s supply-demand structure constantly improves. On the news side, Demingli announced its net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company for the first half of 2026 would be 5.7-6.5 billion yuan. The company’s Q2 net profit is expected to be 2.354-3.154 billion yuan, Q1 net profit is 3.346 billion yuan. According to this calculation, Q2 net profit is expected to fall 5%-29% quarter-on-quarter.

On the news side, the latest data disclosed by the National Medical Products Administration shows that from January to June this year, China reached 81 deals for external licensing of innovative drugs, with a total transaction value of about US$110 billion, already 80% of the total for 2025 and a new historical high.

At the same time, the NMPA disclosed that a total of 38 category 1 innovative drugs were approved for listing in the first half of this year, including 11 drugs with new targets or new mechanisms, all self-developed domestic innovative drugs.
