Using the same Huawei solutions, what makes Voyah compete for a 500,000 yuan MPV order?
The Dreamer 9 further extends Voyah's high-end MPV lineup into the 500,000 yuan market segment.
On September 22, the Voyah Dreamer 9 was officially launched, offering plug-in hybrid and pure electric models, priced from 419,900 to 529,900 yuan. As a new addition to the existing Dreamer product line, the Dreamer 9 continues the series' MPV positioning, while further upgrading its price, intelligent features, and chassis configuration.
Voyah's decision to move upmarket with its Dreamer series is directly related to its existing sales structure. In 2025, the Dreamer series sold 76,000 units, accounting for 50.6% of Voyah's total annual sales, making it the company's largest product series.
The Dreamer 9 is built on this market foundation, primarily targeting business users, corporate operators, and high-end family users, further expanding Dreamer's coverage in the high-end MPV market.
Intelligent features and chassis are the two main themes of the Dreamer 9's upgrade.
The new vehicle is equipped with Huawei's GanKun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit 6, as well as a three-chamber air suspension, dual-valve shock absorbers, and rear-wheel steering. Huawei provides intelligent assisted driving and cockpit capabilities, while Voyah is responsible for the chassis, vehicle safety, manufacturing, and product definition. These two parts together constitute the product framework of the Dreamer 9.
Regarding the relationship with Huawei, Sai Mingfeng, CBO and General Manager of the Sales Company of Voyah, further explained this division of labor. Sai Mingfeng stated, "Voyah is Voyah, and Huawei is Huawei."
The cooperation model presented by Dreamer 9 is thus clearer: Voyah introduces Huawei's mature intelligent solutions while retaining the leading role in vehicle definition, brand, channels, and user operations.
The key highlight of the Dreamer 9 lies in how Voyah transforms the user base accumulated from its main product series into purchasing demand at higher price points.
01 Further price increases
The Dreamer 9 first expanded Voyah's product portfolio in the high-end MPV market.
The new vehicle comes in three versions: Ultra, Ultra+, and Premium, offering both plug-in hybrid and pure electric powertrains, with prices ranging from 419,900 to 529,900 yuan. Voyah has not adopted a new product name, but continues to use the Dreamer brand, aligning with existing user and market perceptions.
This arrangement builds higher-priced products on existing sales volume.
According to its previous prospectus, Voyah sold a total of 150,200 vehicles in 2025, of which the Dreamer series accounted for 76,000 units, or 50.6%; other models such as FREE, Zhiyin, and Zhuiguang contributed the remaining sales. The Dreamer series is not only Voyah's largest product line in terms of sales volume, but also an important pillar in its high-end new energy vehicle market.
The upgrades to the Dreamer 9 focus on intelligent features and chassis. Huawei's GanKun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit 6 are responsible for intelligent assisted driving and in-vehicle interaction, while the three-chamber air suspension, dual-valve shock absorbers, and bidirectional 10-degree rear-wheel steering improve the turning radius, vehicle control, and ride comfort of this large MPV. Voyah has incorporated both types of capabilities into the same vehicle, attempting to align the higher price with the difference in driving and riding experience.
However, Voyah is still actively differentiating the target user groups of the Dreamer 9 from those of its existing models.
Shao Mingfeng told Wall Street Insights and other media outlets that business owners and entrepreneurs account for over 80% of users who choose the version with the hood ornament. This data comes from Voyah's user research, reflecting that the company targets business users, business operators, and high-end families as its main customer groups.
The sales growth provides a foundation for Voyah to continue expanding its product line.
In the first half of 2026, Voyah delivered 76,300 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 35.9%; during the same period, its revenue was RMB 18.159 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%.
In August of this year, Voyah delivered 13,000 vehicles, bringing its cumulative deliveries for the first eight months to 102,500 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 25%. With the launch of the Dreamer 9, Voyah has not only expanded its sales volume but also gained another product to attract customers with higher budgets.
This vehicle also serves as a market expansion tool for Voyah's right-hand drive vehicles.
Lu Fang, Chairman of Voyah, revealed to Wall Street Insights and other media outlets that the right-hand drive version of the Dreamer 9 is already on the roads in Hong Kong and is scheduled to enter the Hong Kong market this November. The relevant sales, service, and after-sales network is currently under construction. The Dreamer 9 will thus connect the domestic high-end market with the overseas right-hand drive market, representing a crucial step in expanding the Dreamer series' reach.
With the launch of the Dreamer 9, Voyah has established a clearer hierarchy in the MPV market: the existing Dreamer series handles scale, while the Dreamer 9 enters a higher price range, differentiating itself through intelligent features and chassis capabilities. This strategy provides users with higher budgets with an option to stay within the Dreamer series, and also allows Voyah to simultaneously strive for scale and premium pricing within the same product line.
02 Comparing the differences between complete vehicles
In the past two years, the high-end new energy MPV market has seen a continuous increase in new products.
With the entry of the Li Auto MEGA, the JK009, and the HarmonyOS-based Zhijie and Zunjie models into the market, competition has expanded from traditional business MPVs to family travel, intelligent features, and luxury experiences. The Dreamer 9, priced between 419,900 and 529,900 yuan, also puts Voyah directly in competition with more new models positioned similarly.
Shao Mingfeng stated that the user overlap between the Dreamer 9 and the Smart V9 exceeds 70%, the highest percentage among the models compared by Voyah. Additionally, some users compare the Dreamer 9 with the Li Auto MEGA and the JK009. This user structure indicates that MPV consumers in the 400,000 to 500,000 yuan price range are already making horizontal choices among multiple new energy vehicle brands.
According to Shao Mingfeng's observation, these users generally value Huawei's intelligent assisted driving capabilities.
The Dreamer 9 is equipped with Huawei's GanKun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit 6, making intelligent technology a fundamental capability for the vehicle to compete in the high-end MPV market. As Huawei's solutions are adopted in more models, it will be increasingly difficult for consumers to choose a particular brand solely based on similar technologies. Voyah needs to differentiate itself in terms of chassis, overall vehicle safety, and specific usage scenarios.
The Dreamer 9 features a three-chamber air suspension, dual-valve shock absorbers, and bidirectional 10-degree rear-wheel steering, primarily designed to improve the turning radius, vibration damping, and body control of large MPVs. According to Voyah, the vehicle also adopts an L3-level architecture design, equipped with 37 sensing units and eight safety redundancies.
Lu Fang stated that Dreamer 9 has already undergone relevant testing on certain roads in Wuhan; currently, the functions available to users are limited to Level 2 assisted driving.
In addition to its intelligent features and chassis, Voyah also describes the target users of the Dreamer 9 as "suitable for both business and family use". The vehicle offers features such as second-row rotating seats and a living room mode, while the premium version adds business-oriented design elements such as a standing emblem and double gold waistlines.
In Voyah's product description, these configurations correspond to practical value and social attributes: driver assistance, chassis, and space serve daily commutes, while the upright emblem and interior/exterior design enhance business reception scenarios. The Dreamer 9 attempts to cater to multiple needs, including those of the driver, second-row passengers, and business guests. For users with these needs, the ability of the same vehicle to adapt to different usage scenarios is a concrete reason to pay more.
Facing competitors employing similar intelligent solutions, Voyah emphasizes its role in the entire vehicle manufacturing process. Shao Mingfeng's statement, "Voyah is Voyah, Huawei is Huawei," translates to Huawei providing intelligent assisted driving and cockpit technology, while Voyah is responsible for product definition, chassis development, vehicle manufacturing, branding, and sales services.
Similar intelligent solutions have made competition in the high-end new energy MPV market increasingly reliant on differences in the overall vehicle experience. Intelligent features determine the starting point of a vehicle's functionality, while chassis, space, safety, design, and user services collectively constitute product differentiation. The Dreamer 9 continues the Dreamer series' user base while entering a higher price range; for Voyah to convert its existing sales advantage into a premium, it needs to differentiate itself in the vehicle manufacturing process it oversees.
