On July 16, the global launch of Xpeng MONA L03 was held in Munich, Germany, where the latest developments in the flying car business were disclosed.

According to Xpeng Motors’ official Weibo, over the past 13 years Xpeng has continuously invested in flying car R&D and will achieve mass production of its first flying car this year, accelerating the transition of low-altitude travel from concept to reality.

Currently, Xpeng has formed two main flying product systems: the "Land Aircraft Carrier" focuses on personal low-altitude flight experiences, and the new eVTOL "A868" targets multi-person, long-range, efficient travel needs, covering various low-altitude travel scenarios and distances.

As of now, Xpeng's flying car business has garnered over 7,000 orders, becoming the flying car company with the highest order volume globally.

To advance large-scale adoption of flying cars, Xpeng has built the world's first flying car factory with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units and a building area of 120,000 square meters, leading the way into mass production.

Europe is one of the world’s most important markets for the aviation industry, with stringent safety standards and a mature regulatory system. Currently, EASA has issued the world’s first dedicated eVTOL airworthiness certification technical specification, and the low-altitude flying industry is shifting from technical exploration to standardized development.

In the future, Xpeng aspires to enter Europe and more international markets, making flying cars not only an experience for the few, but a truly purchasable and usable new mobility option for ordinary users.

MONA L03 Global Launch, Starting Price 123,800 RMB

The official price range of the pure electric version of Xpeng MONA L03 in the Chinese market is 123,800—156,800 RMB, and the super range-extender version is priced at 123,800—146,800 RMB.

Xpeng Group Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated that the pre-sale order volume of Xpeng MONA L03 has surpassed all previous Xpeng models’ pre-sale records for the same period.

The pure electric version’s starting price in the German market is 35,600 euros (about 276,000 RMB), and the super range-extender version starts at 38,600 euros (about 299,000 RMB).

Xpeng General Intelligence Center Director Liu Xianming emphasized that intelligentization has always been at the core of the group’s capabilities. The second-generation VLA physical world large model of Xpeng’s intelligent driving system has achieved connectivity between China and Europe using the same model and is accelerating mass production adaptation for the European market.
