Zelensky says he will meet with Trump on Sunday: Peace framework agreement "almost ready"
Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that he will meet with U.S. President Trump in Florida on Sunday, and the peace framework agreement is "almost ready."
According to media reports, Zelensky said that signing the agreement will depend on his meeting with Trump. He revealed that he will discuss sensitive issues with Trump, including the future of Ukraine's eastern Donbas region and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
According to Xinhua News Agency, on the evening of the 25th, Zelensky said that he had a phone call with Trump’s envoy Whitkopf and son-in-law Kushner on the same day, discussing topics such as the format of the upcoming meeting and the timetable for accelerating the realization of "true peace." The Russian side stated on the same day that it is analyzing the latest draft of the "peace plan."
Zelensky said, “At present, Ukraine has no direct communication channel with Russia. He hopes European leaders can participate online in his talks with the United States.” He stressed that the latest draft of the Russia-Ukraine "peace plan" cannot be signed without the participation of Russia and Europe, because Russia and Europe, as well as Ukraine and the U.S., are all parties that could reach a draft agreement.
The White House has not yet commented on a potential meeting with Zelensky. Previously, the Kremlin stated that its representative had reached out to the U.S. under the instructions ofPutin. Oil prices have responded mildly, with WTI crude slipping 0.03% to $58.33 per barrel.

The U.S.-Ukraine Framework Agreement Nears Completion
Zelensky said in a video address on the evening of the 25th that he spoke on the phone with Trump’s envoy Whitkopf and son-in-law Kushner for nearly an hour. The results were "very good," the two sides discussed many details and had some "great ideas" and "new ideas."
Zelensky stated that some agreement documents have already been prepared and are close to completion. Some documents are fully ready, but work still needs to be done on some "sensitive issues." "The next few weeks may be equally tense and busy." He said that later in the evening on the 25th local time, the head of the Ukrainian negotiation delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Umerov, will continue consultations with the U.S. team.
On the 24th, Zelensky released the 20-point content of the latest draft of the Russia-Ukraine "peace plan" and emphasized that this framework document is still a draft and its provisions may be revised during the negotiations.
Russia Is Analyzing the Peace Plan Draft
According to TASS, on the 25th, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov stated that the latest draft of the Russia-Ukraine "peace plan" submitted to President Putin by the Russian President’s Special Representative Dmitriev is under analysis.
Peskov said: “We are analyzing these materials, and then, according to the decision of the head of state, will continue to communicate with the American side.” Previously, he revealed that Dmitriev had reported to Putin on his meetings with U.S. officials in Miami, Florida, USA.
