Zelensky: The United States always wants Ukraine to make concessions, not Russia.

Ukrainian President Zelensky delivered a speech at the Munich Security Conference on the 14th, saying that negotiations surrounding the Ukraine issue are sometimes "people talking past each other," and that the United States often asks Ukraine, rather than Russia, to make concessions.
According to the transcript released by the Ukrainian president’s website, Zelensky said that sometimes it feels as though the parties are discussing things that are “completely different.” The Russian side often talks about the “spirit of Anchorage” formed during the US-Russia presidential meeting in August last year, and the Ukrainian side can only guess at Russia’s true intentions; the American side often returns to the topic of “concessions,” but the concessions mentioned by the US are often discussed “only in the context involving Ukraine and not Russia.”
US President Trump said on the 13th that Zelensky must "take action" and reach an agreement with Russia, or he will miss a good opportunity. On the 14th, when answering the moderator’s question at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky admitted that he feels “a little” pressure from Trump, and stated that the Ukrainian side has already made concessions in many respects.
In his speech, Zelensky said that Ukraine hopes the upcoming new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia will be serious, substantive, and beneficial to all sides.
Previously, a security working group composed of representatives from Ukraine, the US, and Russia held two rounds of talks in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Both Russian delegations were led by Kostyukov, Director of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov said on the 13th that the new round of talks will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from the 17th to the 18th, and the Russian delegation will be led by Russian Presidential Assistant Medinsky.
